Hi, I’m Stacy Jo. It’s nice to meet you. I’m here to help you create your new WordPress blog or Mompreneur site. I love working with other Moms and think each one has a unique story to share. Here is my story…
Stacy Vanden Heuvel grew up in Atlanta, GA, and received a scholarship to Auburn University where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Art. She started her career designing for the publishing industry and then created award-winning graphic design in real estate. In 2008 Stacy began her web design journey as Lead Designer for her own small design business, Mountain Webs. The goal was for her and her team to create innovative WordPress websites with wide appeal. Clients have included service companies, bars and restaurants, bed and breakfasts, architects, boutiques, galleries, spas, consultants, teachers, pastoral counselors and more. To fuel her design inspiration, Stacy works in an office overflowing with books, diverse music and photos from her trips to Europe.
Today she enjoys working from home for clients as a Mompreneur and attends WordPress Meetups as often as possible to keep in touch with the thriving local WordPress community. Stacy is proud to have been a Sponsor at Atlanta WordCamp 2014, a Speaker at Grand Rapids WordCamp 2017 and Happiness Bar Volunteer at Grand Rapids WordCamp 2018. She has attended 6 WordCamps total and encourages everyone to join in! Stacy is blessed to have a husband, three wonderful sons and a feisty ChiPoo to provide a parade of daily adventures. When she is not maintaining websites, adding to Wonderful Moms or chasing her boys, Stacy loves kayaking, hiking, breeding Daylilies and anything outside.
8 Questions About Me
1. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT?
Definitely and it’s a requirement if you want to be my friend…just kidding.
2. HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
As a Manic Pixie Dream Girl (MPDG). It’s a character type in films that I seem to fall into again and again.
3. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL?
Captain Crunch, probably because my parents didn’t let me have it until I was 16. See hippie reference #5.
4. WHAT COLOR SHOES ARE YOU WEARING?
5. MOUNTAIN HIDEAWAY OR BEACH HOUSE?
Mountain Hideaway. My parents were hippies and we drove through the mountains from campsite to campsite in a van with a unicorn and rainbow on the front. Seriously, I couldn’t make that up. Plus I like trad climbing.
6. FAVORITE FOOD
7. LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?
The Bee Movie
8. WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME?
Prague, Czech Republic. We stayed in the hotel suite where Mozart lived when he wrote his sonatas. I’ve peaked.
